Voronezh Riverside

Voronezh, Russia

The Voronezh Riverside concept provides a master plan proposing a program and landscaping for a scenic 560 Ha site located along the Voronezh River.

  • Former Russian Emperor Peter the Great built a dockyard in Voronezh where the Azov Flotilla was constructed for the Azov campaigns in 1695. This fleet, the first-ever built in Russia, included the first Russian ship of the line, Goto Predestinatsia.

  • The project layout calls for a river walk with access to a stunning pier that juts out into the river. The pier also provides docking areas for local river yachts, allowing the site to better integrate with its environment by making use of the existing riverside.

  • The program, to be developed by the client for the local municipality, includes multiple hotels, a spa complex, a multi-purpose exhibition hall, an amusement park, an aqua and sports center, and an indoor ski slope – all serviced by a green spine.
